Do you have DNSChanger on your computer?

DNSChanger - This little, mean piece of malware appeared last fall that could disrupt your access to the Internet and redirect you to malicious/fraudulent websites, where cyber-criminals could either steal your money or push more malware/spyware onto your computer. The FBI knocked out those that were responsible, and they have put a 'safety net' of servers in place to make sure those that are infected can still surf the net. On July 9th however, the FBI will be taking those servers down. Once this is done, and If you are infected, your computer will not be able to get online until it's cleaned off your computer. Even then it is not the end of the world as people would have you suggest.

Let's check, shall we?

1. Go to http://dns-ok.us/ to see if your computer is looking up web sites properly. If it is, you are all set. Make sure any other computers you own are infected or not.

2. If (after you've checked, see step 1) your computer is infected with the DNSChanger malware, then go to: http://www.dcwg.org/fix/ and read the instructions on the site from there.

Side Note: Both of these sites are FBI backed sites.
